The Adrian Steel 1BTC is an aluminum center bar designed as an optional component for Adrian Steel's 2BTC Utility Rack. Essentially, if you have a 2-bar utility ladder rack (the 2BTC) on your van, the 1BTC acts as an additional, central support bar. This provides extra stability and support for longer or heavier ladders and other materials being transported on the roof rack. It helps to distribute the load more evenly and prevent sagging or bowing of the load in the center.
 
It is lightweight due to its aluminum construction and is commonly used with utility racks on vehicles like the Ford Transit Connect, GM Express, and Ford Econoline full-size vans.  Adrian SKU 1923.
